Terms of Service
Last updated 1 November 2026.
These terms apply when you visit the Hein Tutoring website, create an account, or use our tutoring services. By creating an account, paying a fee or placing an order, you agree to them. If you are a parent or guardian, you accept them for your child too.
1. Who we are
Hein Tutoring provides tutoring in Uganda for Primary (P4 to P7), O'Level (S1 to S4) and A'Level (S5 and S6) learners, online, in physical groups, and one-on-one. You can reach us at info@heintutoring.com.
2. Accounts
- You can register as a parent, student or teacher. Give accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Students receive a personal student code. It is used to link a parent to the student and to match fee payments, so share it only with the student's parent or guardian.
- Pupils and students under 18 should register with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or our Community Guidelines.
3. Our services
We offer online tutoring, physical group sessions, private one-on-one tutoring, and recorded lessons. The subjects, classes and programs we run depend on demand and on the availability of teachers, and they can change. We aim to start and end lessons on time, and tutors will give notice of any unavoidable rescheduling.
4. Fees and payment
- Fees are shown in Uganda shillings (UGX) on our Structure page. They may change with prevailing economic conditions. The price shown when you pay is the price that applies to that payment.
- Pay only through Hein Tutoring's official channels: our payment page (Mobile Money), our official Mobile Money merchant lines, or our bank accounts. Do not pay cash to an individual tutor. We are not responsible for money paid outside official channels.
- When paying for a student, include the student's code in the payment reason so the payment reaches the right account.
- Mobile Money payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We never see your Mobile Money PIN.
- Refunds are considered case by case. Write to us with your payment reference and the reason, and we will reply. Where the law gives you a right to a refund, that right stays.
- Non-payment can lead to suspension or termination of enrolment, as set out in the Community Guidelines.
5. Books
An order for a book on our website is a request. We contact you to confirm availability, delivery and payment before the order is final. Prices shown are in UGX and may change.
6. How you may use the site and our materials
- Use the website and learning platforms only for lawful, educational purposes and in line with the Community Guidelines.
- Lesson notes, recordings, posts and other materials shared in classes are for the personal use of enrolled learners. Do not copy, resell, publish or share them outside Hein Tutoring without our permission.
- Do not try to access accounts or data that are not yours, interfere with the site, or upload anything harmful or unlawful.
7. Academic results
We work hard to help every learner understand and perform well, but results depend on many things, including the learner's own effort. We cannot guarantee any particular mark, grade or examination result.
8. Safety
Private home lessons must take place in an open, designated area with a parent or adult guardian on the premises. All official communication must use approved Hein Tutoring channels. Please report any safety concern to us immediately.
9. Our responsibility
We provide the website and services with reasonable care. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for interruptions caused by things outside our control (such as power or internet outages, or problems at mobile money or SMS providers), or for the actions of people who use the site. Nothing here limits any right you have under Ugandan law that cannot be limited.
10. Privacy and cookies
How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the services after an update, you accept the new version.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law says otherwise.
